BASIC was established in 2010 to meet the growing demand for real time
intelligence in the import/export and transportation arena and to counter the
eminent threats affecting the supply chain.
The current situation in Mexico has prompted new concerns as to the security and
integrity of shipment traversing on Mexican highways and Texas border towns. CBP
shares these growing concerns and is scrutinizing CTPAT members and demanding
that its members maintain “Situational Awareness”.
BASIC brings together the stakeholders to a platform where information can be
shared freely between members to maintain that obligatory “Situational Awareness”.
BASIC operates in a secure environment accessible only to members who are
industry professionals.
Mission Statement
To be the industry’s primary conduit for intelligence on the threats that
compromises the integrity and security of the nation’s supply chain. To provide
our members with the necessary tools to counter the threats and maintain their
supply chains secure. |
